BSP Community Project Enhances Koroqaqa Primary School.
BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) has officially handed over a major community project to Koroqaqa Primary School, delivering infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving the learning environment and enhancing access to hygienic facilities for its students.
The project, spearheaded by BSP’s Thomson Street and Samabula Branches, includes the construction of three new toilet blocks, one of which features a shower facility to benefit students participating in after-school sports programs. In addition, general maintenance and upgrades were carried out on the kindergarten complex, including the installation of new cabinets, sinks and a renovated indoor toilet block to better cater to the school’s youngest learners. A water tank was also installed with three handbasins to ensure reliable access to clean water.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, BSP General Manager Retail, Ravindra Singh, emphasized BSP’s commitment to supporting education and community welfare through its Community Project program.

"Today’s handover is a testament to BSP’s unwavering dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure and fostering positive change in the communities we serve. Koroqaqa Primary School plays a vital role in shaping the future of children across Baulevu, Koroqaqa, Udalia, Wainisasa, and neighbouring areas. Despite the school’s remote location, we are proud to invest in projects that provide students with safe, hygienic and supportive learning environments. This effort would not have been possible without the tireless contributions of our staff, who volunteered their time and skills to make a difference," said Mr. Singh.
Koroqaqa Primary School, which caters for 236 primary students and 20 kindergarteners, is an integral part of the local community. Head Teacher, Master Arvind Prasad, expressed his gratitude for BSP’s support.
